HALFORD Suspend Bassist Search

HALFORD have suspended their bassist search pending the outcome of current four-stringer Ray Riendeau's ongoing discussions with the band's management regarding his status in the group. Says HALFORD manager John Baxter: "Ray and I have had numerous conversations since late December 2002 regarding his tenure with HALFORD. Prior to [Tuesday] evening's Tokyo performance, Ray was steadfast with his decision to get off the road for the duration of 2003, so he could deal with personal matters.

"I've asked [the HALFORD webmaster] to take down the bassist page for the time being, so Ray and I can continue our conversations through the duration of the Japan tour.

"Please give us a couple days so we can sort through everything, and I'll update everyone when we're finished with our discussions.

"Thanks for your understanding."
